DAY THE EARTH CAUGHT FIRE (ANCHOR BAY)

Interesting, well made and thought provoking sci-fi from England about the earth being tipped off it's axis and speeding toward the sun due to simultaneous nuclear explosions from the US and Russia.
Edward Judd and Janet Munro stars as two people who work for a newspaper that is reporting the facts. Leo McKern also stars as a hard edged journalist seeking the truth.
Excellent widescreen presentation is given this film by Anchor Bay and it is a sight to behold. Made in 1961, this film has lost none of it's edge or entertainment value.
It's a little hard to find now on DVD, but if you can check it out.
