WOMEN IN CAGES 1971 (SHOUT FACTORY)

Classic Roger Corman New World Pictures wip film starring Pam Grier as the sadistic prison matron who tortures her prisoners in a place called "The Playpen" which is full of medieval torture devices.
Gorgeous Judy Brown, Roberta Collins and Jennifer Gan are three women stuck in this banana republic hell of a prison.
The ending is a downer in some respects, but the film itself is top notch for a wip film. The switch of Grier as the sadistic matron is nice to see and she does an excellent job with it. Gerry DeLeon directed and does a great job. I love this film and Shout Factory should be commended for making this available on DVD. This is part of the Women In Cages collection from Shout.
