HERSCHELL GORDON LEWIS: THE GODFATHER OF GORE 2011 (SOMETHING WEIRD)

Fantastic look at the career of the man who started the entire "gore" genre of movies, from his humble beginnings as a filmmaker doing "nudie cuties" to Blood Feast and much more.
There are interviews with many people including Lewis, the late Great David Friedman, Bunny Yeager, Mal Arnold and many other who recall working with lewis in Florida during the hay days of movie making.
Rare clips and outtakes are featured and many interesting stories about these films. Various film clips are shown from all of his movies including Blood Feast, 2000 Maniacs, Gore Gore Girls and more. I highly recommend this if you are a film fan or a fan of Lewis, this is easily one of the best releases of the year.
