CAMEL SPIDERS 2011 (ANCHOR BAY)

Roger Corman produced film starring Brian Krause as an Army Captain who finds himself fighting very large and very hungry Camel Spiders in the deserts of Arizona after some are accidently brought back from the Middle East. C. Thomas Howell is the sheriff who also has his hands full with the nasty critters. Spiders always give me the creeps and these kinds of movies are like a roller coaster ride for me. I liked this film a lot. There are some very obvious plot loopholes and unfinished plot developments, but again, this is expected, and all you have to do is use your own imagination. The CGI is cheesy and cheap, but one cannot expect much in a film like this. In real life Camel Spider are creepy as hell and in this movie they are too. I recommend this film, especially if you like straight monster movies, which is exactly what this is. And it is always nice to see Melissa Brasselle who plays Sgt. Shelley Underwood with the moniker of Rocky DeMarco in the credits. She is always a plus in these films.
