CREATURE OF THE WALKING DEAD 1961/1965 (DVD-R)

The fabulous 1961 Mexican horror film La marca del muerto is taken by Jerry Warren, re-dubbed and has a lot of footage cut out and new footage shot which makes the entire story a little hard to follow.
A doctor brings back his mad scientist grandfather back to life and he then assumes his grandsons life while keeping him locked in a dungeon prison. He does this to kidnap young women for his experiments in rejuvination and eternal life.
The original films looks excellent, but the footage Warren shoots makes no sense at all. If you get a chance you might want to chack it out, as it may be your only chance to see some of the original Mexican film.

  1. Hello. I found a VHS of this film today at my local used bookstore for 5$. However unlike the wikipedia page that says the film is 74 minutes and released in 1965, my copy says on back that it's 70 minutes and released in 1964. Any insight?

    1. I believe that the actual running time is 74 minutes. The box probably has the wrong time listed, as so many do. The date of 1964 is the original release date in Mexico and the 1965 date is when Jerry Warren added new scenes. Also, I cannot help with uploading movies. I myself have not mastered that art...lol. Good luck

  2. Also, while I just got home so I haven't seen the quality of tape yet, I would like to upload it to archive.org and a site like YouTube or something so people can have it. If you know how to do that let me know. Otherwise I can research online.
