VAMPIRE BAT 1933 (MILL CREEK)

Well made horror from 1933 stars Lionel Atwill and Melvyn Douglas in a story about mysterious vampire-like killings in a small town. Douglas is the skeptical reporter and gorgeous Fay Wray is the young assistant to Atwill, who turns out to be madder than most people think.
Dwight Frye is again cast as a raving lunitic, and the role suits him well, but it would have been nice to see him in a different role for once.
Recommended for fans of horror, especially early horror. This film is almost 80 years old and it holds up very well.
