THE CHASE 1946 (MILL CREEK)

Classic film noir about a man hired as a chauffeur of a mobster who falls in love with the mobsters wife. They both find themselves on the run and he finds himself framed for her murder.
Robert Cummings is excellent as the unwitting man who is framed for murder and Steve Cochran is very good as the gangster who frames him. Lots of moody black and white photography and atmosphere. Peter Lorre is on hand as a henchman who is annoyed by most everybody.
If you have never seen a film noir, this would be a great one to start with.
