31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN DAY 3: DAY THE WORLD ENDED 1955 (LIONSGATE)

My all time favorite 50's movie that really struck a chord with me when I saw it on Creature Features in Spokane, Washington many years ago. Roger Corman directed this great effort about TD day...thats Total destruction of the human race by atom bombs, and the seven people who gather in a house and fight for survival against each other and atomic mutants on the outside.

Richard Denning is Rick, a young man who has survived the blast and has a strong will to survive. Sexy Lori Nelson is Louise with whom Rick falls in love with. Stalking Louise is a three eyed, armoured skinned mutant who tries to communicate with her telepathically.

The rest of the cast is excellent and includes Mike Conners, Adele Jergens, Paul Birch, Paul Dobov, Raymond Hatton and Jonathan Haze. All plays their parts well and Conners does an exceptional job as tought guy gangster Tony Lamont. One of the most highly recommended movies I can put on this blog!!
