CURSE OF THE CRYING WOMAN 1963 (BEVERLY WILSHIRE)

A fine example of Mexican filmmaking.

A young woman inherits a castle only to find it haunted by witches and demons, most notably the "wailing woman". The evil spirit will come back to life after a spear is taken out of her heart on a certain day.

Rosa Arenas and Abel Salazer are the young couple who inherit the castle and find evil as well as the long lost husband of the witch who now lives there locked up in the dungeon. He is finally released and he does get his revenge.

This is a finely crafted little film and it is, I believe one of five such horror films about the "Wailing Woman" that was made in mexico about this time. Recommended fun.
