CONFESSIONS OF AN OPIUM EATER 1962 (WARNER ARCHIVE)

Whoa!!

I first saw this early one Sunday morning on a station from Bozeman, Montana right after they ran Mermaids Of Tiburon!!

Vincent Price stars as Gilbert de Quincey who helps Chinese slave girls escape the violence of the tong wars on San Francisco. This movie has some of the most entertaining visuals I have ever seen including an Opium induced trip and a slow motion scene where Price escapes those who are trying to kill him. That scene is played out in total silence!!

The rest of the cast of this Albert Zugsmith directed film is Linda Ho, who always looks sexy as hell, Richard Loo, Terence deMarney and Philip Ahn. Warner Archive should be commended for finally bringing this obscure and really weird film to DVD in a beautiful widescreen version.
