GOKE THE BODY SNATCHER FROM HELL 1969 (CRITERION)

What a great movie from Japan.

A plane crashes and the survivors soon find themselves stalked by blob like aliens who turn their victims into blood sucking vampires.

This is an exceptional film in my opinion. Some of the acting is a little over the top, but the theme of mankind being one of the cruelest races in the universe and needing to be wiped out is tops.

This is one of four films from Shochiku studios in the 60's. Criterion has chosen to highlight these films in Eclipse Series 37. The print is prestine and is 2.24 to 1 aspect ration. If you like Japanese horror then this is a real treat for you. It has only been released on VHS here in the states many years ago and had several airings on TCM, but this is the best it has ever looked. Recommended!
