In this very well made Universal effort Holmes and Watson are on a train bound for Edinburgh and trying to solve a murder and a the case of a stolen gem called "The Star Of Rhodesia.
Nigel Bruce is Watson and Dennis Hoey returns as Inspector Lastrade, Alan Mowbray is Duncan Bleet a very good friend of Watson's that is also involved in the case and Skelton Knaggs is a thief.
One of the best of the long series of films featuring Holmes and Watson. Recommended!!
