TAKE A HARD RIDE 1975 (SHOUT FACTORY)

Another classic western.

Jim Brown plays a rugged trail boss and reformed criminal who promises his dying boss that he will deliver $86,000 in payroll money to a ranch.

Many hear that he has that kind of money and he soon finds himself the target of numerous robbery and murder attempts. Joining him are a card sharp played by Fred Williamson, a young woman whose husband has been killed played by Catherine Spaak and her helper Kashtok played by Jim Kelly.

Lee Van Cleef is a bounty hunter out for the money and the trail bosses life, Dana Andrews is the man whom Brown made the promise and Barry Sullivan is a crooked sheriff who wants the money.

This movie is almost non stop gunfights, judo, and chases which all work very well. A great cast and directed by Antonio Margheriti. Recommended for fans of Spaghetti westerns.
