TWINS OF EVIL 1971 (SYNAPSE)

I reviewed this a while back on a DVD-R and now I finally got the disc from Synapse.

In the summer of 1971 I was nine and introuced to this movie at a drive in along with Hands of The Ripper and Night Of The Lepus. It was a night I WILL NEVER forget. This is one of my favorite vampire films and Hammer films as well. When i was nine I didn't care about the Collinson Twins as the vampires, I cared about the all round atmosphere.

Peter Cushing is their uncle who is also a witch burning fanatic who whips people into a frenzy of killing. Count Karnstein puts the bite on one of the sisters who then begins to enjoy her life of evil.

Based of characters created by Sheridan Le Fanu and the last of three films from Hammer with the Karnstein name this film really tops them all. The women are incredibly sexy, the vampires totally evil and the gothic feeling of the film is incredibly strong. Synapse turned this out in a DVD/BluRay combo and the film has never looked better.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for ANY horror fan.
