TARGET EARTH 1954 (VCI)

One of my faves from the fab 50's.

Lovely Kathleen Crowley is a young woman who awakens to find the entire city she lives in has been abandoned. She soon runs into Richard Denning. Both of these people meet three others and the discover their city has been evacuated due to an invasion from outer space.

The robots from Venus are clunky looking but very cool and they shoot lasers out of their front face plate. James Nicholson wrote the original screenplay for this film and Sherman Rose handles the directing chores.

The fine cast is rounded out by Virginia Grey, Richard Reeves, Mort Marshall, Arthur Space and Whit Bissell. Good fun.
