WORLD WAR Z 2013 (THEATRICAL SHOWING)

I hadn't been to a movie theater in 9 years before I saw this film.

There has already been a ton of stuff written about this film and I avoided most of it until I got a chance to finally see it.

Brad Pitt is a UN worker who is caught in the middle of a sudden plague which changes people into violent walking dead who have a very strong urge to kill, and when I say strong urge I MEAN strong.

These "zombies" are the very fast moving kind who in one scene clamor over others like them until they have scaled a huge wall in Israel. The scenes of mass panic and destruction are handled very well, and yes I can see this actually happening sans the zombies when our civilization falls apart.

It seems most people are not satisfied with the ending including the young lady I was with, but it is what it is. It left things open and actually suited the film in my opinion. A plague of that size couldn't ever be contained quickly anyway.

I liked the film and found that I will have to buy the DVD when it comes out and see what they had re-shot which I suspect will be an extra on the disc, but who knows.

If you like zombie movies, I think you'll like this.
