CURSE OF THE WEREWOLF 1961 (UNIVERSAL)

Hammer werewolf fun.

Oliver Reed stars as a young man who is born on Christmas Day and therefore suffers the curse of lycanthropy. He is cared for in his early years by Don Alfredo Corledo, played by Clifford Evans. When he is old enough he goes out on his own and the curse starts again.

The werewolf is a rather unique white haired monster that has a very distinctive look and separates it from other movies of the same ilk. Reed plays the character of the cursed Leon very, very well and this is the role most people remember him for.

The rest of the fine cast of this Terence Fisher directed effort include Yvonne Romaine, Catherine Feller, Anthony Dawson, Richard Wordsworth and Michael Ripper. Recommended horror.
