DEPUTY MARSHAL 1949 (VCI)

Well made Lippert western.

Jon Hall stars as a man caught in the middle of a range war while hunting fugitives.

He comes to a small town called Tumult and quickly finds himself accused of murder and many other things. His only friend is an old man played by the one and only Clem Bevans.

Dick Foran is the head bad guy and he plays the part very well and his right hand man is played by Joe Sawyer, a very underrated actor in his day. Francis Langford was married to Hall at this time and she has a couple of western songs in the film which aren't too bad.

Lots of action and plot twists make this a winner and one of the best Lippert westerns out there.
