HIGH SCHOOL BIGSHOT 1959 (MILL CREEK)

A young man chooses the wrong road in life.

A young man whose father is unemployed and broke stumbles upon a way to steal a million dollars from a drug syndicate. Tom Pittman stars as Marv Grant, a good high school student who needs cash and will do anything to get it for himself, his father and the "Ice Queen" played by Virginia Aldridge.

He hires a safe cracker and his friend to help him pull off the job, but unbeknownst to him, his "Ice Queen" girlfriend Betty has already told three others about the plot. All ends in disaster in one of the bleakest endings for a film of this kind.

The great cast is rounded out by Malcolm Atterbury, Howard Veit, Stanley Adams, Louis Quinn, and Byron Foulger. Pretty cool stuff and almost what I would call a mixture of JD and film noir.
