LET'S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH 1971 (WARNER ARCHIVE)

One of the best horror films of the 70's.

Zorah Lampert stars as a young woman recently released from a mental hospital after a breakdown, who, along with two friends, buy a house in a small isolated community in Connecticut. Soon Jessica starts seeing ghostly images an having strange dreams.

When they take some furniture to a dealer in town to try and sell it, they learn of the legend of Abigail Bishop, who used to live in the house. it seems she drowned and many believe she is now a vampire stalking the land. All the peole in town wear bandages and are very unfriendly to the three newcomers.

When they find a young woman living in the home they invite her to stay with them, and that is when the trouble really starts. The acting is top notch by all involved and the spooky atmosphere as well as the excellent soundtrack make this a winner all around.

The rest of the cast includes Barton Heyman and Kevin O' Conner as Jessica's two friends and Gretchen Corbett as the mysterious young woman who is living in the home when they arrive. Creepy, eerie and unsettling, this is a film that should have been a hit but wasn't. Thank goodness it is back on DVD. Buy this film.
