SNOW CREATURE 1954 (TREE LINE)

The first film to deal with the yeti.

W. lee Wilder directed this ultra low budget film about a botanical expedition that suddenly becomes an expedition for a Yeti after one of the guides receives news that his wife was kidnapped by one of the creatures.

They succeed in capturing one of the beasts and bringing it back to Los Angeles where it escapes and causes a very small reign of terror. Paul Langton stars as Frank Parrish the man who captured the monster, and he does a very good job in the role. There are several effective scenes in the film, but it is hampered by it's low budget.

Still, I have seen much worse and it is a good way to kill 75 minutes on a Saturday afternoon if you're so inclined. The rest of the cast includes Leslie Denison, Teru Shimada, Ruldolph Anders and Robert Kino.
