BODY BENEATH 1970 (SOMETHING WEIRD)

Perhaps Andy Milligan's best film?

A mysterious Minister named Algernon Ford comes to England to open an old church. Ford is actually a vampire and he is seeking a way to keep the bloodline alive.

Ford is accompanied by three green skinned female vampires who feed on the blood of victims he picks out for them. Ford also has a hunchback helper named Spool whom he actually nails to a wall for disobedience!

Milligan filmed this gem on Staten Island for the sum of about $20,000 and made it seem like England with all the accents, and the fact you never really get to see much of the outdoor scenery. The movie includes all of the Milligan staples including cheap gore and some bad acting. However most of the actors do very well.

The ending is interesting as it does not end as one would think. I really liked this movie when I saw it many years ago, and viewing it again has proven that I like it just as well now. If you're so inclined, check it out. The cast includes Gavin Reed as Ford, Jackie Skarvellis, Berwick Kaler and Susan Heard.
