PEOPLE WHO OWN THE DARK 1976 (SINISTER CINEMA)

Excellent Paul Naschy horror.

Naschy stars as one of a group of DeSade worshipers who gather at an old castle for a night of debauchery when they are suddenly interrupted by a nuclear war. They are spared, and after a while they venture to the nearest town for food. One of the group members panics when it is discovered that most of the population is now blind and he accidentally shoots one of them dead.

Soon all of the blind people are out for revenge and they storm the castle the survivors are staying at in a scene that will remind you of Night Of The Living Dead.

Director Leon Klimovsky knows how to bring on the terror and as far as I am concerned he is one of the most underrated directors ever. The battle for survival between the people with sight and those without is well handled and the ending to this film is a good shocker as well.

This is available from several companies, but I prefer the Sinister version and the print looks very good. Recommended sci-fi.
