DEATH BED THE BED THAT EATS 1977 (CULT EPICS)

Finally available on Blu-ray.

Cult Epics has finally released this film on Blu-ray and it has to be seen to be believed.

This has been reviewed here a time or two, but since it is new to BR I will do it again. This bizarre film revolves around a strange bed that is possessed by a demon that eats anyone who lays on the bed. Also, inside the same room is a man whose spirit is trapped inside a mirror, and he has watched this bed claim victims for the last 60 or so years.

The bed gets plenty of victims and we actually see the victims inside of the bed's stomach, which is very odd in and of itself. The most horrible death is for the character of Diane, a beautiful black woman who actually manages to crawl away only to be dragged back and finally digested. The scene works very well and actress Demene Hall really sells it.

The films looks about as good as it possibly can on Blu-ray and it has intros by the director George Barry and author Stephen Thrower who wrote "Nightmare USA" as well as audio commentary from them both. It also has a behind the scenes featurette shot in 2013.

This is by far the most bizarre film I have ever seen, but it is a must for horror fans everywhere. Long undiscovered and now brought to the masses again via Cult Epics, I cannot recommend this enough. See it and watch something very different from anything else you have ever seen.
