Shigeta started his acting career in a wonderful film noir entitled "Crimson Kimono" and then went on to star in dozens of other films such as "Magnum P.I.", "Airwolf", "Police Woman", "Rockford Files" and hundreds more.
He was the best known of any East Asian actors in the US for many. many years. His other film appearances include "Die Hard" and "Flower Drum Song". He was 81.
