REPTILICUS 1961 (TIMELESS/SHOUT)

I don't care what others say, I like this film a lot.

the tail of a prehistoric monster is unearthed in Lapland and brought to Copenhagen Denmark for further study. A scientist accidentally lets it thaw and they find it is still alive and growing.

The tail soon grows into a very large monster that spits green slime and proceeds to destroy Copenhagen. The army is called out and they seem powerless to stop it. They cannot use bombs since every cell would regenerate into a new monster.

Finally they devise a way to destroy the monster, but the ending leaves it open for a sequel that never happened.

The acting is ok and some of the effects are rather abysmal, but I do love the central story and the monster is pretty cool despite what others say. The print from Timeless is fine except for a coupe of blurry spots during the film that is caused by compression on the disc. Still, nothing to whine about.

I do recommend this film for monster on the rampage fans.
