HALLOWEEN 1978 (ANCHORBAY)

Simply put, this is the second greatest independent film ever made.

John Carpenter got a career off of this little horror film about three babysitters stalked by a masked madman who seems indestructible.

That is the plot, plain and simple. Jamie Lee Curtis, Nancy Loomis and P.J. Soles are the three young women marked for death and Donald Pleasence is Dr. Loomis who wants to kill Michael Myers after he escapes from an asylum.

This is a top notch film with absolutely no faults. It falls only behind "Night Of The Living Dead" as one of the greatest horror films ever made. The music by John carpenter is some of the best ever written for a film of this type. I watched it this past Halloween and I think everyone who loves horror films should watch this.

Skip the sickening Rob Zombie "remakes".
