VAMPIRES NIGHT ORGY 1974 (CODE RED)

One of my personal favorites.

I ALWAYS watch this little Spanish horror gem around or on Halloween, and this year was no exception. I have written about this film before, but i figured I would revisit it again.

A bus load of tourists end up in a small village when their bus driver suffers a heart attack and dies. They drive the bus themselves into a small village that at first seems deserted. They soon meet the very hospitable people of the village an they stay the night, only to find that their bus won't start.

Jack Taylor shows up as a business man who also cannot seem to leave as his car is having trouble as well. Very quickly the members of the group start disappearing one by one. The town is inhabited by vampires who are all too eager to have the people stay for their fresh blood.

There are some really haunting scenes in this chiller such as when two of the victims are trapped on the bus which is full of vampires. Eerie lighting helps a lot and Helga Line plays the vampire countess who sexually seduces a young man and then feeds him to other vampires. There is also a huge man who walks thru the village with an ax to cut off various limbs of towns folks. What do they do with those limbs?? Why they cook and feed them to the tourists of course!!

The Code Red version is the uncut version, and therefore the best one to view. Dyanik Zurakowska is a very attractive leading lady an the ending car chase where all of the ghouls in the town try and stop her and Taylor from leaving in his car is something not forgotten.

One of my favorite films and highly recommended.
