RETURN OF THE EVIL DEAD 1973 (BLUE UNDERGROUND)

The second in the Blind Dead series.

A rural Portuguese village is celebrating the 500th anniversary of their killing off the Knights Templar by burning out their eyes and burning them.

The long dead knights rise and begin attacking the town during the celebration. A small band of people hide in a local church and attempt to fight off the undead.

There are several shocking scenes including the the decapitation of a man attempting to escape the church from and underground tunnel. Director Amando de Ossorio does his usual bang up job bring the Knights to life.

There are also a lot of pokes made at the idiocy of politics as the Mayor of the small town is shown as a compete incompetent coward who actually tries to sacrifice a small child for his own safety.

Tony Kendall, Esperanza Roy and Fernando Sancho lead the cast. Highly Recommended.
