Claude Alexander and Larry Buchanan produced this $8000 gem and filmed it in Luckenback, Texas. Robert Stewart is a student who travels to the small German town in order to study witchcraft.
He meets a beautiful woman named Kirska played by Jo Maryman who gives him an old book about the "Luckenback Witch" and he is immediately immersed in the tale.
He finds the grave and accidentally unleashes her from her long sleep. Libby Hall is the Naked Witch of the title and we do see her nude quite a bit, but the funny thing is that when she is seen running towards the camera for example it appears that someone puts a black streak on the film to keep her entire frontal nudity self from being seen.
The witch manages to kill two people in the village before having her plans ruined when the student, who has been under her spell wakes up and kills her with a stake.
This is not great movie making, but it is interesting. I have always had a soft spot for regional films and very low budget ones. This film cost exactly what my last movie cost me, so I fully understand.
The acting is fair and if you're looking for something a little different for Halloween viewing, this just might be it.
Libby Hall is good as the witch and believe it or not her latest role was a part in the 2016 Texas made thriller "DON'T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT 2".
