31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN DAY 13: FORTRESS OF THE DEAD 1964 (SINISTER CINEMA), EXPERIMENT OF DEATH 1995 (LOW BUDGET PRODUCTIONS), HUMAN DUPLICATORS 1965 (ATLAS)

Three more chillers you might like for the season.

Fortress Of The Dead is an excellent little horror film about a survivor of Corregidor in WW2 returns to the Philippines and is haunted by ghosts of those who died.

John Hackett is very good in the lead role as a man tormented by his past. This is a horror/war movie hybrid and it really works well and even is somewhat sad.

The ending is somewhat expected, but I found it really brought out loneliness in people. If you get a chance check this one out.

The second film is a very, very low budget film entitled Experiment Of Death. Tony Kinnick stars as a scientist who injects himself with a formula and changes into a flesh consuming monster.

This is a $3000, shot in Montana regional film that does have a lot of flaws, but can be entertaining if you're in the right frame of mind.

This shot on video effort only runs about 30 minutes so I guess it's better to call it a featurette.

The third and final movie for today is HUMAN DUPLICATORS. Richard Keil is an alien who comes to earth in order to create androids to take over the world.

He enlists the aid of noted Prof. Dornheimer (George Macready) and his plans start to go well until a government agent by the name of Glenn Martin (George Nader) starts to investigate.

The alien, named Kolos has duplicated the prof., his female assistants and some top government officials in order to steal secret documents and devices to make it easier to conquer the world.

The film moves along at an ok pace and I am never bored by this mid 60's sci-fi trip. The rest of the cast includes Hugh Beaumont, Barbara Nichols and Dolores Faith as well as Richard Arlen.
