THE LADY IN SCARLET 1935 (MILL CREEK)

Interesting little mystery.

Reginald Denny stars as Oliver Keith, a private investigator who is called in on a very odd case.

It seems an art dealer has been murdered and Keith is called into the case and finds a web of corruption, blackmail and a lot of stolen bonds.

Patricia Farr, who plays the wise cracking secretary Ella Carey, steals the show and she and Denny have a bizarre kind of chemistry.

The ending is much like most of these kinds of films and even the "Ellery Queen" show of the 70's. All the suspects are gathered in one room and Denny makes his pitch until the killer is revealed.

Not too bad of a time waster from Chesterfield Pictures.
