AMAZING GRACE AND CHUCK 1987 (SONY)

A film I worked my ass off on and am very proud to be associated with.

This fable concerns a young boy, who after touring a missile base in Montana decides to quit playing little league baseball until all nuclear weapons are destroyed.

This draw the attention of a basketball player for the Boston Celtics named "Amazing Grace" Smith (Alex English) who after visiting the young boy, Chuck, decides to join him and quits basketball.

Chuck's parents are bewildered and his father Russell (William Petersen)is angry but somewhat supportive. The movement actually begins to grow until it becomes a global phenomena that throws the governments into panic.

The President Of the United States (Gregory Peck)visits Chuck and tries to understand what is going on. He and the Russians meet and attempt to give these people what they want.

This is a wonderful film if you can suspend your disbelief and just enjoy. This is one of many films I worked on for both Tri-Star and Ted Turner.

Filmed on Boston Mass. and Livingston, Montana this movie kind of disappeared and hasn't been seen much. I recommend it for those who enjoy Capraesque fantasies every once in a while.

The rest of the cast includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Red Auerbach, Joshua Zuehlke, and Lee Richardson.
