31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN DAY 29: THE INVISIBLE DR. MABUSE 1962 (RETROMEDIA)

A pretty cool mixture of crime and science fiction.

The deranged master criminal Dr. Mabuse is after an invisibility ray created by a Professor Erasmus (Rudolf Feranu).

A beautiful dancer named Maria (Karin Dor) is being stalked by an invisible admirer and seeks the aid of an FBI man, Joe Como (Lex Barker). All of this is tied to a bizarre murder and the above mentioned device.

The police are also seeking the invisibility machine as they know if Mabuse gets ahold of it he will use it to create an army of invisible soldiers. Como receives a few threatening letters but keeps the investigation going.

The story moves along at a good pace and as I have said before, it's always good to see Karin Dor in anything. Director Harald Reinl also helmed Barker and Dor in "Torture Chamber Of Dr. Sadism". He was also married to Dor at the time this was made.

Print quality from Retromedia is not bad at all and should satisfy fans.
