EVIL OF DRACULA 1974 (ARROW) BLU-RAY

The final film in the "Bloodthirsty Trilogy" from Arrow and the final feature from it's director.

Toshio Kurosawa stars as a teacher named Shiraki, who arrives at an all girls school to teach psychiatry. The principle who runs the school strikes Shiraki as bizarre when he tells him that his wife died in a car accident a few days ago and he is keeping her body in the cellar to see if she returns to life.

After a few terrifying incidents Shiraki meets three beautiful young women who attend the school. Before too long one of the is victimized by the vampire and her two roommates stay behind to tend to her after all the other girls have left for vacation.

The terror grows from there as Shiraki attempts to protect the girls and at the same time kill the vampire and his minions.

I enjoyed this film a hell of a lot. The story is well done, the atmosphere is dripping everywhere and the women are lovely as always. The film moves quickly and there are a few surprising scenes of nudity and graphic gore, but hey I'm not complaining.

The movies looks better than ever and if you get a chance to pick up the trilogy on Blu-ray do so. Yes, I know most people only know Toho for it's Godzilla films, but they made some great horror films. I can't help but feel however that Toho itself never really stood behind these films because of the kind of movies they were.

The director Michio Yamamoto spent the rest of his career doing TV work, and this was his last feature film. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
