JUNGLE SIREN 1942 (SINISTER CINEMA)

An entertaining PRC jungle epic.

Buster Crabbe stars as Capt. Gary Hart who, along with his friend Sgt. Mike Jenkins (Paul Bryar) travel to the African jungles to make it possible to build a landing strip for US bombers during WW2.

They meet a young whiter woman living in the jungle named Kuhlaya played by the beautiful Ann Corio. She and Hart fall in love while battling Nazi's who are trying to turn the natives against the Americans so the German's can set up shop.

A Nazi couple are trying to turn the local witch doctor against everyone as well and promise him great riches.

Corio steals the show in her skimpy costumes and she is admittedly the main attraction in this feature. Running a scant 62 minutes, the film really never slows down, and it does have a few plot holes, but who's counting?

I liked this film. It's no classic, but it certainly isn't boring. The rest of the cast includes Evelyn Wahl, Milton Kibbee, Arno Frey and Jess Lee Brooks.

Not a bad way to kill an hour. Recommended. I know, I am probably the only one who ever recommended this film.
