INCREDIBLY STRANGE CREATURES WHO STOPPED LIVING AND BECAME MIXED UP ZOMBIES 1966 (SINISTER CINEMA)

The classic film title of all time, and a very bizarre movie to boot.

This is the film Ray Dennis Steckler will forever be remembered for. Steckler plays Jerry and uses the acting pseudonym of Cash Flagg.

Jerry is a young man who doesn't want to work for a living he just wants to have fun with his girlfriend Angela (Sharon Walsh). Jerry, Angela and Jerry's friend Harold (Atlas King) visit a carnival one night and meet a mysterious fortune teller named Madame Estrella (Brett O' Hara).

Estrella, unbeknownst to anyone has a collection of hypnotized and disfigured monsters who do her bidding when necessary. Jerry chides Estrella as a fake and the three of them leave, but Estrella has other plans for Jerry by using her beautiful sister as a ploy.

Needless to say to Jerry is soon hypnotized and turned into a killer. His first victim is a gorgeous dancer named Marge Neilson (Carolyn Brandt). Harold and Angela desperately try to help Jerry but to no avail.

There are a lot of very bizarre set pieces and imagery in this film, not the least of which is the collection of "zombies" in Estrella's collection. The print from Sinister is somewhat faded but still very watchable. I know the color on this film is gorgeous because I have seen another print many years ago.

Nobody made films like Steckler and we will never see another of his kind. Like the film or not, you can tell he had a real love for making movies and he put that into every production he did. Anyway, this is a fun film with monsters, murder, mystery and music. Highly Recommended!!
