THE INVISIBLE MAN 1983 (SINISTER CINEMA)

Very interesting 6 chapter adaptation of the classic H.G, Welles tale from the BBC.

Pip Donaghy stars as Griffin, a scientist who has developed a serum that renders him invisible.

He takes a room at an inn in a very small English town and tries to find the way back to normal, but he is always bothered by the people at the inn who are nosy and very superstitious.

Another problem Griffin has is that the serum slowly drives it's victim to the point of insanity and he is becoming more unstable by the day. He finally leaves the small inn and looks for a scientist named Sam Kemp whom he believes can help him.

Griffin begins killing people and becoming more power hungry as he realizes that he can rule the world in his present state. This BBC production runs about three hours total and it never slows down.

It's a great look at a man driven by science who slowly sinks into a world of insanity and murder. Everything builds to a great climax in which Griffin tries to kill Kemp in a fit of insane rage.

The effects are well done and if you get a chance to see this, do so. No H.G. Welles fan or horror fan should miss this epic tale of terror.
