31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN DAY 1: BRIDE OF THE GORILLA 1951 (IMAGE)

Yes, I have written about this film a couple of times before, but I love it and have finally managed to get the best print on the market which was turned out by Image in 2002.

You all have probably seen this little gem, but here goes anyway.

Raymond Burr stars as Barney Chavez, the overseer of a plantation in the African jungle run by Klaas Van Gelder (Paul Cavanagh). Barney is very attracted to Klaas' wife, Dina (Barbara Payton).

Barney kills Klaas and is cursed by a Al-Long and elderly native woman that saw the incident. She curses Barney to see himself as a gorilla and to be seen that way by all the animals in the jungle as well.

Barney marries Dina but before he can enjoy his super sexy wife he believes he is becoming a gorilla and runs into the jungle.

This is an absurd, but enjoyable little film and as I have said before, I will watch anything with Payton in it anyway. The cast also includes Tom Conway and Lon Chaney, Jr..

Of all the prints out there, this is the best one you can get, so if you want the best buy this one and have a ball. Payton looks oh so sexy thru this entire film.
