TOP 45 RELEASES OF 2019 PART 2

I hope everyone had a good week. Now I will continue to countdown the Top 45 releases of 2019.

40. TOWER OF EVIL 1972 (Scorpion) Blu-ray... Great little film about a mad killer on a small island. Good to finally see this film brought to Blu-ray. AKA The Horror Of Snape Island.

39. JONATHAN 1970 (Sinister Cinema) DVD... Strange but well made film about humans trying to overthrow vampire leaders. Daylight does not harm these blood suckers. Another recommended film from Sinister.

38. THE DEVIL RIDES OUT 1968 (Shout Factory) Blu-ray...Excellent horror entry starring Christopher Lee as a man fighting sinister evil from hell. A great, scary film that has finally been brought to Blu-ray thanks to Shout.

37. EEGAH 1962 (Film Detective) Blu-ray... This limited edition of the movie is a wonder. Richard Keil stars as a caveman seeking a mate in modern California. Always a strange film, and nice to see it finally got the 4k Blu-ray treatment.

36. BUCKTOWN 1975 (Scorpion) Blu-ray... Arthur Marks directed this excellent film starring Fred Williamson and Pam Grier. A great action film that looks the best it ever has on the Blu-ray.

35. WEREWOLF IN A GIRLS DORMITORY 1961 (Severin)... Somewhat obscure horror film that got a great release this year. The title song "The Ghoul In School" isn't included in the movie, but is used as an extra. However, it's a very welcome addition to any Blu-ray collection.

34. THE MOLE PEOPLE 1956 (Shout Factory)... Classic 50's horror starring John Agar as a scientist who discovers a race of underground beings. This was one of many Universal horror films Shout put out on Blu-ray this year. Beautiful quality.

33. BEAST OF THE YELLOW NIGHT 1972 (VCI)... John Ashley stars as a man cursed to live forever and changes into a monster from time to time. One of my favorite films finally makes it to Blu.

32. BEAST WITH A MILLION EYES 1955 (SHOUT FACTORY)... One of my childhood favorites with Paul Birch in a story about an alien who controls the minds of both animals and humans. The film never looked better than it does here.

31. TARZAN IN ISTANBUL 1952 (Sinister Cinema)... Sinister turned out this very obscure action film from Turkey which is very odd indeed. A full review is planned here later in 2020. It's an interesting take on the Tarzan genre.

There you have a few more of my Top Releases of the year. More coming next Saturday.
