RIP KIRK DOUGLAS 1916-2020

One of the film worlds best known leading men has died.

Douglas started his Hollywood career in 1946 in the film "The Strange Love Of Martha Ivers". He quickly became on of the best leading men in Hollywood and movie history.

He starred in many classic films noir after the above mentioned film including "Out Of The Past", "I Walk Alone" and "Ace In The Hole" which is a top notch noir.

He later starred in "Detective Story" in which he played Det. James McLeod who is obsessed with getting the good on an abortion doctor who has been responsible for several deaths.

The list of his accomplishments is way too long for this obituary but everyone who reads this blog knows of almost everything Douglas has done over a stellar career that lasted 62 years.

He worked in almost every genre of film imaginable and was a one of a kind man. He is one of the last, if not the last of the legends of the movie business.

Douglas passed away on Feb. 5th, 2020 at the age of 103.
