TALES FROM THE TRENCHES 2019 EPISODE 2 CRIMINAL LIVES (SHOUT TV)

The second of 13 episodes about the films of Roger and Julie Corman.

I have said it a thousand times and I'll say it again....Nobody makes movies or has had a bigger impact on the entire business as Roger Corman. The man is simply a genius and that is fact.

The movies that Roger discusses here are "BIG BAD MAMA", "CRAZY MAMA", "THE GREAT TEXAS DYNAMITE CHASE" starring the gorgeous Claudia Jennings, "LADY IN RED" which is one of my personal favorites, "BIG BAD MAMA 2", "DILLINGER AND CAPONE" and "SHAKEDOWN".

There are great stories about the films themselves and some of the people involved including Angie Dickinson and Pamela Sue Martin. I was kind of surprised that they didn't include the 1967 classic "ST. VALENTINES DAY MASSACRE", but the movies covered are great nonetheless.

Roger talks about the casting choices, directing choices on some of them and how the fared at the box office, plus critical reactions to the movies. This is a very fun episode.
