DEADLY RECORD 1959 (SINISTER CINEMA)

Fun and fast paced crime film.

This is a rather obscure British crime film that really gets you into the plot and only runs about 59 minutes. Larry Huntington, the man who also directed "The Vulture" does a wonderful job with this tight story.

An airline pilot is accused of the murder of his wife, and he sets out to find the real killer before it's too late. Lee Patterson stars as pilot Trevor Hamilton, a man who returns to his home after being gone for a few days only to find his wife and car missing.

He goes to bed that night and in the morning discovers both her dead body and his car in the garage when a police officer comes to the home to ask questions concerning a car accident involving his car.

His best friend, Susan Webb (Barbara Shelley) helps him with his investigation which takes some very odd turns. The climax has a very interesting twist that caught me a little by surprise.

The rest of the cast for this film includes Jane Hylton, Peter Dyneley, Geoffrey Keen and Ferdy Mayne. A neat little thriller that I really think should be seen more. The print is a beautiful widescreen one from Sinister.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
