SARTANA'S HERE...TRADE YOUR PISTOLS FOR A COFFIN 1970 (ECHO BRIDGE)

A very odd but effective Spaghetti western.

George Hilton stars as Sartana who we first see is watching a gold shipment that he wants to steal. He is surprised thst the shipment is stolen by bandits as he watches.

Sartana goes to a small town and seeks out the gold and runs into a man named Sam Spencer (Piero Lulli) who hires him to protect the next gold shipment. Sartana has many conflicts with gunslingers in this small town, but he manages to defeat them all.

He also expresses interest in a saloon owner named Trixie (Erica Blanc) but she seems only interested in gold. To top all of this off, Sartana's enemy Sabbath (Charles Southwood) arroves in town. He always carries a white parasol with him and has a very fast gun.

This is a very odd thing to see in a western such as this, and I have to admit it helps the film quite a bit with such an offbeat character.

The film moves along at a great pace and it should please fans of the genre. The climactic gunfight between Sabbath and Sartana is one to behold, and must have taken quite a while to shoot. Erica Blanc looks sexy as always and she is a very welcome addition to the movie.

The print quality from Echo Bridge is ok and shouldn't be too much of a problem for fans. I enjoyed the movie, and I hope you will as well.
