RIP JIM CROCKETT, JR. 1944-2021

The man who made pro wrestling a great time back in the 70's and 80's has passed away.

There isn't a wrestling fan or wrestler whose life wasn't infuenced by Crockett. He was a promoter from 1973 until 1989 and his product and talent roster was and is legendary.

Jim Crockett, Jr. brought pro wrestling to new heights by bringing it worldwide on WTBS back in the late 70's and thru the 80's. Every fan I know watched his World Championship Wrestling show on Saturday afternoon starting at 6:05 PM eastern time.

Crockett helped make many a wrestler famous such as Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, The Road Warriors and hundreds more.

There are just not words to describe what Crockett has done for wrestling and what he did for fans back in the day. Wrestling today is MUCH different and MUCH less entertaining, and that is because you don;t have anyone capable of doing what people like Jim did.

He passed away at the age of 76 on March 4th, 2021. His legacy in the wrestling world will never be matched.
