FALSE PARADISE 1948 (PLATINUM)

William Boyd returns as Hopalong Cassidy.

Hoppy, along with his friends California Carlson (Andy Clyde) and Lucky Jenkins (Rand Brooks) are called upon when a crooked banker tries to cheat people out of their silver rich land.

This is the 65th of 66 westerns starring Boyd as Cassidy and it moves along very quickly. I found it amusing that Hoppy tells the banker that the "worthless" farm he sold to a man is loaded with silver and then the banker tries to buy it back, but if foiled in every attempt.

He sends his henchmen in to make sure the silver venture fails and even this doesn't work well, as long as Cassidy is in charge.

In any of these films, the bad guys always get caught and the good guys win. That's how they used to make movies...now....well enough said. If you're a fan of B westerns, this will satisfy you.

Simple, clean fun for western fans. The rest of the cast includes Elaine Ray, Cliff Clark, Don Haggerty and Joel Friedkin.
