SILK 1986 (SHOUT FACTORY)

Not too bad of an action film.

Cec Verrell stars as Silk, the toughest cop in Honolulu.

She is attempting to bust a huge smuggling operation and uncover an even more sinister scheme of the syndicate. They are attempting to smuggle Asain mobsters into Hawaii and the rest of the USA by stealing the identites of citizens.

Director Cirio H. Santiago does his usual good job in handling the film, and he gets some really good performances. Verrell is a smart looking woman who handles the lead role quite well.

I have read that some people think this looks like a TV cop show, and while that may be true is does not affect the entertainment value of the film. For me anyway this reminded me of the films of Andy Sidiris.

The rest of the cast in this film includes Vic Diaz, Bill McLaughlin, and Fred Bailey. Roger Corman produced this film and it just has that Corman look to it.

If you like action films you might like this one. My advice is to check it out.
