BUFFALO GUN 1957 (TUBI)

This rare western caught my attention because of the cast.

The story is pretty simple. Indiand claim that their food rations are being stolen and they are threatening to go on the warpath. Three agents are sent to investigate.

The agents are played by Carl Smith, Webb Pierce and Marty Robbins...three country stars that use their real names in the movie. All three sing songs about midway thru the film, but other than that it's a story of several men masking the Indians mad and then selling them guns when they go to war.

This was filmed in 1957 but not released until 1961. The reason for this is that it appears this is an unsold TV pilot show, and since it didn't sell it was forgotten.

Besides the three country music stars in the leads the cast also includes Don "Red" Barry, Wayne Morris, Harry Lauter, Douglas Fowley and Eddie Little Sky.

This is a real oddity that western fans should check out. I enjoyed it a lot.
