009-1: THE END OF THE BEGINNING 2013 (TOKYO SHOCK)

Every once in a while I find a film that really impresses me and this is one of them.

I had never heard of this before and that is a shame considering it's eleven years old now. But, what a show it was!!

I will not write about this objectively since I find that hard to do with movies like this. I stumbled on this film from a trailer on TUBI and as soon as I set eyes on the stunning leading lady Mayuko Iwasa I KNEW I hace to watch this.

First off this was the live action adaptation of Shotaro Ishinamori's spy heroine "009-1" on it's 75th anniversary. I have never read any of these stories, but I found the movie well made.

It's a very violent film that takes place sometime in the future where two world powers, The Eastern Block and The Western Block are always at war and the small land in between them is called "J-Country" and it's used as a battleground by both sides.

Our heroine 009-1 is a cyborg and is sent to rescue a scientist who has been kidnapped by a gang of rebels. She is beautiful, very fast and almost indestructible. After finally rescuing the scientist, only to have her kidnapped again, 009-1 begins to remember her past and how she was changed into a half woman/half machine by corporate doctors.

This film is full of beautiful women, but then again I think Japanese women are some of the most beautiful in the world anyway. It has a lot of violence, some very erotic scenes and some great surprises.

One of those surprises is one of 009-1's weapons. Her breasts are very high powered machine guns, and she does use them a few times. These scenes are incredible, yet they show no nudity. I haven't seen breasts like those since "Mausoleum" and Bobbie Bresee's gut munchers!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this movie. They just don't make movies like this here in the states and the actresses are far more attractive than almost anyone in the US in my opinion.

The cast also includes Minehiro Kinomoto, Nao Nagasawa, Mami Abe and Aya Sugimoto.
