Harvey Hart directed this filmed in Canada oddity.
The movie opens with a young woman falling 20 stories to her death. Sgt. Jim Henderson (Christopher Plummer) and his partner Sgt. Pierre Paquette (Donald Pilon) are called into the case.
As they begin their investigation, they discover that her name is Elizabeth Lucy (Karen Black) and that she was a heroin addicted call girl.
The film shows us both the ongoing investigation and the backstory to Elizabeth and what led to her death. Henderson delves deeper into the case and begins to find that a Satanic cult is involved as well.
Everyone he speaks to about the case is being killed and he and Pierre are also in danger. This is a very tight film that works well on many levels, but it does get slow a couple of times.
I liked this movie and if you're a fan of subtle horror you might like it too. Interesting ending.
